Debra Pronovost
Debra holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maine. After winning Mrs. Maine America in 2005, she began producing the pageant in 2008 to mentor women to both support & collaborate with each other. She was awarded the coveted National Director of the Year award 2021 that she attributes to both her national & local partnerships, specifically Team Maine. Debra resides in Cumberland Foreside, with her husband Eric and has two children. Taylor enrolled in an undergraduate program at a University in Canada, while Nick achieved his Master of Science Management at Babson College in Entrepreneurial Leadership.

Meghan holds a M.A. in Communications from Southern New Hampshire University. She works as a consultant for vChief and is on the digital team for Tiffany & Co. Meghan was our Mrs. Maine America 2020 and truly believes this organization empowers women. She recently stepped into the co-director role and is honored to contribute to an organization that has brought so much fulfillment to her life. Meghan resides in Manchester, Maine with her husband Ben and children Madison and Landon.

The Mrs. America Pageant is a beauty competition that was established to honor married women throughout the United States of America. Each contestant representing the 50 states and the District of Columbia, and is 18 years of age and older earns the right to participate in the national event by winning her state competition. These state events are under the direction of Mrs. America state directors. The winner goes on to compete in the Mrs. World pageant.

The Miss for America Strong pageant is under the Mrs. America organization originated by David and Elaine Marmel. All ladies who are single, divorced, widowed, with or without kids are eligible to compete at the Miss for America pageant.

The Mrs. American title is in a league of their own. Each year, delegates who are the First Runner Ups from their state Mrs. pageant are crowned with the American title. These contestants participate in their own competition at the National level and if nationally crowned, will join the Mrs. America queen at the prestigious Mrs. World Pageant.
MRS. WORLD ’24
JULIA SCNELLE
Mrs. World, the first beauty pageant for married women, was conceived in 1984. The concept of the pageant itself has its roots in Mrs. America. From 1984 to 1987, the pageant was known as Mrs. Woman of the World and was changed to Mrs. World in 1988. The contest is the largest marital pageant in the world.

Phases of Competition
INTERVIEW: Consists of two ballots (Interview and Beauty equally weighted) for a total overall interview score. The total interview score counts as 33.333% toward the contestants overall score. Each contestant will have a 4 minute Interview with each judge. Interview outfit should be an extension of you.
SWIMSUIT COMPETITION: You will need a swimsuit. This can be a one or two piece. Shoes should be clear or the color of your skin. 33.333% of your overall score is based on stage presence, style, confidence, and beauty. Note: This is not a fitness competition.
EVENING GOWN: Floor length gown of any color and style. 33.333% of your overall score is based on your poise, posture, grace, elegance, confidence, beauty and how well you carry yourself as well as how your choice of gown compliments you.
SCORING SYSTEM: Interview 33.333% (50% being interview and 50% beauty), 33.333% swimsuit, and 33.333% evening gown. This will determine the top # of contestants and the overall winner (depending on number of contestants; may be top 5, top 10, etc). The top number of contestants will then be asked an on-stage question in their evening gowns. This is not a judged portion. It allows the audience the opportunity to have a sneak peek into what the interview portion may have looked like as well as an opportunity to get to know the contestants a little better.

aLYSSA hODSON
II was born in Florida but moved 14 times growing up including Kansas, Tennessee, Texas, California, and now permanently Maine. I always wanted to find a place to call "home" and settle down, as my dream is to have a homestead someday. In the summer of 2021, we built out a campervan inside of a box truck in order to travel the entire country in search of where we wanted to call home. When we made it to Maine, I instantly knew in my heart that this would be the state I would settle down in. I'm blessed to do what I love for a living alongside my husband, running a successful media production company. We create drone videos, social media content for businesses, produce TV commercials, and film weddings.
When I'm not behind the camera, I love being outdoors: going out on the boat, swimming in the lakes, as well as camping and hiking. One thing that has helped me grow as a person is traveling internationally and immersing myself in new cultures. My favorite places I've visited are Portugal, India, and New Zealand. I'm grateful for the opportunity to represent this state and be an advocate for healthy living and cancer prevention. A fun fact about me is I've done 50 solo skydives.

I am born and raised in Maine. I am honored to represent Maine as Miss Maine for America Strong 2024. Having obtained a Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology and a Masters of Science degree in Early Childhood Education, Four years ago, I made the decision to leave a job I loved in order to run the family business and provide for my children. I am now vice president of a manufactured housing business. We received an extraordinary sales award my first year managing the business and every year since. Making this change allowed me to be flexible while raising my two amazing boys, Ostin (13) and Levi (10). They continue to inspire and motivate me everyday.
My oldest son is dyslexic and has a speech and language disorder. For three years, I wasn’t noticing progress and when mentioned in an IEP meeting, I was told I should get used to my son never being able to read. Having bigger goals for my son, I continued to advocate for him and for change within the school system for teacher trainings and better resources. Through my pageant journey, I have been able to create The Driving Force. During my reign, my goal is to continue advocating for the dyslexic community, speak of the sister hood every moment I get and support local charities and events.

I am proud to be a face and voice of recovery and hope to inspire others by sharing the many pathways to optimal health and happiness. Substance Use Disorder affects millions of Americans everyday, but Recovery is possible!
I am passionate about all things wellness and absolutely love sharing it every week as a Group Fitness Instructor, High School Educator and Women’s Health Coach.
I am a fourth generation Mainer and have been fortunate to travel throughout the United States for a variety of educational training and dance performance opportunities. After earning my BA from Manhattanville College, I returned to Maine to start a family and begin my teaching career. During my nearly two decades in the classroom I have realized that cultivating healthy habits through fitness, nutrition and mindset is essential. I am AFAA certified in group fitness and a licensed Zumba Fitness Instructor and a certified Weight Management Coach.
My husband Brian and I will celebrate 17 years of marriage this summer and are blessed with three incredible children; Alaina, Evie and Rian. We enjoy getting out into Maine’s beautiful landscape during all four seasons from hiking to skiing, and love living on the lake where we can swim, boat, skate and snowmobile.
I am so inspired by the incredible women who make up the Mrs Maine America Pageant Team and look forward to working alongside them to empower women and elevate communities. I have had a transformational journey during my time as Mrs. Poland and look forward to my year of service as Mrs. Maine American!

The Victoria's Voice Foundation is the corporate philanthropy of the Mrs. America organization.
Victoria Siegel died from a drug overdose on June 6, 2015, at just 18 years old. She was one of 129 Americans who lost their lives to a drug overdose that same day.
Since then, a staggering number of families across the United States have lost a loved one to overdose. In fact, nearly 300 people die from a drug overdose every single day in this country. This needs to change.
Help us save lives by supporting our mission to advance initiatives, achieve policy changes, amplify education, assure critical resources and applaud like-minded organizations to address drug abuse in order to save lives.
